Europa Nostra, the largest and most representative heritage network in Europe, and the European Investment Bank Institute have just announced the preselection of the ruins of the Palace of Charles of Lorraine in Mariemont as one of the European sites at risk to be safeguarded and enhanced. This large-scale recognition accompanies a series of actions undertaken by a vast network of partners to ensure the preservation of the historic heart of the Mariemont Domain.

EGYPT. EVERLASTING PASSION
Exhibition at the Royal Museum of Mariemont from 24th September 2022 to 16th April 2023 / For 2,000 years, Egypt has fascinated us! It has never ceased to attract us, to intrigue us, to inspire us and to make us dream. The exhibition Egypt. Eternal Passion explores the fascination of ancient Egypt on our imagination. Visitors will not find Egyptian antiquities, but works from various periods that reflect the fantasies generated by the land of the Pharaohs. By recreating everyday spaces (a living room, a games room, a library, a garden), the exhibition offers a face-to-face encounter with a revisited Egypt.
