MARI in Syria

Mariemont, the Louvre and the the Library of Strasbourg join forces in an exceptional collaboration to revive one of the most important cities of Mesopotamia: the mythical Mari. Together, these three renowned institutions invite visitors to explore the history of this illustrious city, follow the adventure of its archaeological discovery and discover the treasures that were unearthed there. An exhibition like a journey made of destruction and reconstruction, safeguarding and revival, which takes us back to one of the cradles of civilization.
